
Kat Fry Joins St. Vincent Health
St. Vincent Health is pleased to welcome Kat Fry as the Chief Operations Officer.
Kat is a dynamic and proven healthcare leader. She provides support to many vital departments at including: Environmental Services, Facilities, the St Vincent Family Health Center, Human Resources, SVH Genetics Institute, and Behavioral Health.
As a registered nurse for 26 years, Kat has spent 16 of those years as a healthcare leader. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, and Masters of Science in Emergency, Trauma and Critical Care Medicine with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Kat has held leadership positions at Vail Health, Valley View Hospital, Swedish Medical Center, and HCA Healthcare.
Kat excels at bringing teams together. She embraces collaboration and innovation whensdeveloping and implementing projects. Kat was honored in 2016 as a Colorado Regional Nightingale Award recipient and was nominated for Excellence in Innovation. A priority for Kat is to make what we do inside the walls of the hospital impact overall health and well-being outside the walls of the hospital. She values the relationship a rural hospital has with its community and looks forward to being responsive to community health needs in Lake County.
Kat and her family are avid sports fans and whether following Colorado teams or participating in outdoor sports, they love adventure. Now with Kat’s son going off to college at the Colorado School of Mines, the mountains and small-town lifestyle have called Kat to Leadville.
Rumor has it she is also a great storyteller. Perhaps Kat will share how she wound up on the cover of a fishing magazine or how she felt witnessing an active volcano eruption.
