Korinne Krieger, NP-C
Nurse Practitioner Korinne Krieger’s desire to connect with patients is as big as the great outdoors!
Since 2018 Korinne has been practicing and teaching emergency and wilderness medicine throughout the United States including remote areas such as Denali National Park. As an RN, Korinne also worked in interventional radiology, post anesthesia care, and surgery centers. She has worked in hospitals and clinics across the states of Colorado and California, as well as South Africa and Nepal.
Outside of teaching, Korinne has worked behind the scenes on various Discovery Channel and National Geographic TV shows as safety and medical support. These TV contracts took her to remote wilderness areas of Alaska, the Rewa Jungle of Guyana, Costa Rica, and to the Bahamas to film sharks.
Born and raised in Colorado, she was a registered nurse for over 15 years before completing her advanced practice degree as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. As a former staff member of Desert Mountain Medicine in Leadville and St. Vincent Health, Korinne has a fondness for Lake County and is excited to return to pursue her Primary Care practice.
Korinne was deeply impacted by the loss of her mother to illness and the close relationship between her mother and the Primary Care Provider who cared for her. She values Primary Care’s focus on caring for patients throughout their life span while educating patients and promoting preventative medicine and wellness for the whole body.
