It's A New Day!
Celebrating 140 years of caring
St. Vincent Health celebrates 140-plus years of caring with a new, state-of-the-art hospital. The 26,000-square-foot facility will open in summer 2021 and was made possible by strategic planning, innovative partnerships, and community and taxpayer support.
A Shift in Philosophy
St. Vincent General Hospital District’s recent strength came about from a total shift in philosophy and culture at St. Vincent Health, with a renewed focus on offering patients the care they need locally. As a result, the hospital now has eight inpatient rooms and added new services including surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, colonoscopy, stress echocardiograms, swing bed services, respite care, and expanded outpatient offerings.
Bringing Services In-House
Looking toward the future, St. Vincent General Hospital District has embraced the concept of a health campus where specialists, primary care, Lake County Public Health Agency, and other health-related offices reside in the former hospital building and synergistically complement services in the adjacent, new hospital facility.
